A nasheed, based on a true story! called “Malek ghair Allah” , “You dont have nobody but Allah”

A man who is married, well educated, good job, good wife, overall living a wonderful life.
In one day everything goes wrong. He fought with his wife, the company didnt accept his work
and his life just turned black. Rather than praying with his friends at work he started drinking,
smoking and enjoying life. He started to follow girls and his wife saw him and threw the ring..

He goes to his place and starts shouting, knocking things down and looking at his ring and thinking about his wife. So he goes out on his motorcycle, thinking about all the stuff he did! while speeding he crashes and this was the first step of his new beginning..
He knew that life is a test and all the problems we face is from Allah subhanahu wata’alah.

So he starts praying and going to the mosque.. to begin a new life…

قال الله تعالى: “قل ياعبادي الذين أسرفوا على أنفسهم لاتقنطوا من رحمة الله إن الله يغفر الذنوب جميعاً إنه هو الغفور الرحيم”

 

You cant take it with you when you go

Brothers and sisters, this life is nothing. We must focus in the hereafter, thats whats important.

7 Reasons to Read the Glorious Quran

 (1) Intimate: It dares you to disprove it. How? It says that humans can not write a book like this even if they pooled all their resources together and got help also from the spirits. The Quran said this fourteen hundreds years ago and yet no one has been able to disprove it. Billions of books have been written – but not another one like the Quran.

(2) Incorruptible:

It is the only religious sacred writing which has been in circulation for such a long time and yet remains as pure as it was in the beginning. The Quran was kept intact. Nothing was added to it; nothing was changed in it; and nothing was taken away from it ever since it was completely revealed 1400 years ago.

(3) Unsurpassable:

The Quran is God’s final revelation to humankind. God revealed the Torah to Moses, the Psalms to David, the Gospel to Jesus, and finally the Quran to Muhammad. Peace be upon all of them. No other book will come from God to surpass his final revelation.

(4) Indisputable:

The Quran withstands the test of time and scrutiny. No one can dispute the truth of this book. It speaks about past history and turns out right. It speaks about the future in prophecies and it turns out right. It mentions details of physical phenomena which were not known to people at the time; yet later scientific discoveries confirm that the Quran was right all along. Every other book needs to be revised to accord with modern knowledge. The Quran alone is never contradicted by a modern discovery.

(5) Your Roadmap for Life and Afterlife:

The Quran is the best guidebook on how to structure your life. No other book presents such a comprehensive system involving all aspects of human life and endeavor. The Quran also points out the way to secure everlasting happiness in the afterlife. It is your roadmap showing how to get to paradise.

(6) God’s Gift of Guidance:

God has not left you alone. You were made for a reason. God tells you why he made you, what he demands from you, and what he has in store for you. If you operate a machine contrary to it’s manufacture specification you will ruin that machine. What about you? Do you have an owner’s manual for you? The Quran is from your function for success lest you fail to function. It is a healing merc y from God. It satisfies the soul, and cleans the heart. It removes doubts and brings peace.

Humans are social creatures. We love to communicate with other intelligent life. The Quran tells us how to communicate with the source of all intelligence and the source of all life- the One God. The Quran tells us who God is, by what name we should address God, and the way in which to communicate with God. Are these not seven sufficient reasons for reading the Quran?

The handsome man..

“When a man dies and his relatives are busy in funeral,there stands an extremely handsome man by his head.When the dead body is shrouded, that man gets in between the

shroud and the chest of the deceased.

When after the burial, the people return home, 2 angels,
Munkar and Nakeer (names of two special Angels), come in
the grave and try to separate this handsome man so that
they maybe able to interrogate the dead man in privacy about his
faith. But the handsome man says, “He is my companion, he is
my friend. I will not leave him alone in any case. If you
are appointed for interrogation, do your job. I cannot
leave him until I get him admitted into Paradise”.

Thereafter he turns to his dead companion and says, “I
am the Qura’an, which you used to read, sometimes in a
loud voice and sometimes in a low voice. Do not worry. After the
interrogation of Munkar and Nakeer, you will have no grief.”

When the interrogation is over, the handsome man arranges
for him Al-Mala’ul A’laa (the angels in Heaven) a silk bedding
filled with musk.

Allah loves Muhsineen (Good Doers) [2:195, 3:134, 3:148, 5:13, 5:93]

Allah loves Tawwabeen [2:222][Those who turn to rightfulness and recourse much to Him and His Guidance]

Allah loves Mutahhareen [2:222, 9:108] [Those who keep their bodies free from filth, minds distant from dirty thoughts and conduct clean from unseemly acts]

Allah loves Muttaqeen [3:76, 9:4, 9:7] [Those who guard themselves against evil and preserve themselves from the inevitable harmful consequences for violating Allah's Commands by carefully abiding by His Guidance, not exceeding His Prescribed Limits and not deviating or departing from His Right Path; those who render service and obedience to Him alone

Allah loves Sabireen (Being Patient) [3:146][Those who  have capacity to endure hardship, difficulty, or inconvenience with calmness and self-control; those who can exhibit tolerance and restraint in the face of provocation; those who have calm and tranquil state of mind; those who can exhibit composure, equanimity, self-constraint, self-control, steadfastness, determination, perseverance and endurance; those who steadily adhere to the statutes of Quran; those who maintain constancy with Allah; those who show patience, endurance, equanimity and adherence to the Laws of Allah in harm, injury, mischief damage, poverty, bodily affliction, distress, lack of means of subsistence, misfortune, calamity, fear, hunger, a state of pressing want, loss of money, loss of life or loss of fruits of their toil (2:177, 2:155, 22:35)

Allah loves Mutawakkileen [3:159] [Those who put their trust in Allah and His Laws after seeking His Guidance,  deliberation, consultation, decision making, resolution and determination]

Allah loves Muqsiteen [5:42, 49:9, 60:8][Those who act equitably and justly, and  judge and make reconciliation among people with equity, fairness and justice]

When is YOUR TIME???

HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU HAVE LEFT ON EARTH..

In each human being their is a count down clock inside them. A clock which starts to tick as soon as they are born. The clock also has an alarm, for some the time between the first tick at birth and the alarm is a long distance away, for others its not. But the important question that really is what each individual has achieved in their allocated time spent on earth and whether those actions can benefit them in the life in the hereafter!!!!!

“He has let loose the two seas, converging together, with a barrier between them they do not break through”

Prophet Ismael (SW)

The Prophet Isma’il (peace be upon him) was the eldest son of Prophet Ibrahim (peace he upon him) by his second wife Hajira. As he had no off-spring from his first wife Sarah, he entered into matrimonial allegiance with Hajira, a devoted lady. He did so with the consent of his first wife. The Prophet Ibrahim (peace he upon him) prayed to his Lord to bless him with a son. The Prophet Isma’il (peace he upon him) was born to him in response to his prayers. The Holy Quran makes mention of it in these words: “Ibrahim said: My Lord! Grant me of the doers of good deeds. So We gave him the good news of a boy possessing forbearance.” (Surah 37: Verses 100-101) Shortly after his birth, in obedience to a Divine behest, he was left by his father Ibrahim (peace be upon him) along with his mother at the place where stands Ka’bah. It was a barren and waterless place with no trace of life in any form. The great Patriarch, Ibrahim (peace be upon him) left them to their fate with a heavy heart and prayed: “O’ Lord! I have made some of my off-spring settle in this barren valley near the Sacred House so that they may keep up prayer.” (Surah 14: Verse 37)

Trial of Sincerity

He had received a Divine Command to sacrifice his beloved son. Both of them stood the test with credit. The Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) decided to fulfill the vision on one hand whereas the Prophet Isma’il (peace be upon him) was ready with alacrity to lay down his life to win the favor and pleasure of Allah.

While they were proceeding towards Mina for the performance of the solemn duty, Satan tried to dissuade them from their firm resolve but to no effect. The Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) passed the sharp knife over the throat of his son but an angel turned the knife upside down and a heavenly message forbade the act.

The Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) was desired to sacrifice in lieu of his son, a ram. So he slaughtered a well-fed ram presented by Allah. When the Prophet Isma’il (peace be upon him) grew up, he married a girl of the tribe but soon divorced her at the request of his father to whom she proved to be discourteous. After this he married a daughter of the Jurhum Chief.

In depths of HELL..or PARADISE?

Whatever we do, we’ll pay the price

In the depths of hell or in paradise

For the believer ,this life is just like a cage

For the unbeliever, it’s the ultimate stage

Little does he know about the awaiting reward

Which is full of luxuries, where no-one gets bored

You’ll enter the gate of paradise, if it’s in your fate

Your deeds and actions will determine by which gate

No worldly things will you ever miss

On entering the gate, you’ll be surrounded by bliss

Four rivers will be granted by the Divine
containing water and milk, honey and wine

People will live in mansions built high

Where they’ll live forever, no-one will die

It’s bricks will be made of silver and gold

The climate will be perfect, not hot and not cold

A hundred years it will take to circle a tree

Surrounded by loved ones for all eternity

There will be no calls of nature, no-one will sleep

There will be no worries, no one will weep

When people sweat, it will smell of musk

Allah SWT will be praised from dawn till dusk

Everyone will be aged 30 or 33

And they’ll stay at that age for eternity

The inhabitants will be wearing a beautiful green gown

Sitting on thrones, wearing a crown

People will be happy, there’ll be no remorse

To visit others, they’ll have a flying horse

Men will have 2 houris as their wives

Who will remain with them for the rest of their lives

On Friday there will be a dinner for people of all races

And a bazaar where people can exchange their faces!

When walking along there’ll be many meetings

With prophets and angels, exchanging greetings

Such is the ecstasy that will then prevail

When Allah SWT removes His veil

There will be no kings, there will be no peasants

 And everyone will see the Divine Allah’s presence

There are 100 levels to paradise and we should pray

That Al Firdaus, the highest will be where we stay

Allah SWT has showered us with His grace

And we have to be worthy to show our face

Whatever we do, we’ll pay the price

In the depths of hell or in paradise

What does being “religious” mean?

If your religious, it doesnt mean you dont have fun with your friends and you dont laugh. It doesnt make you uptight and lock yourself in your room spending the whole morning and nights reading books of Religion. If you pray 5 times day and grow a beard, that doesnt make you religious either. So why does being religious mean you say. Many people have their own perspective in what it means but in my opinion, I believe being religious is following the footsteps of our prophet Mohammed (Peace and blessing be upon him). Dont grow the beard because you just want to copy the people without knowing the purpose. The main purpose for the beard is to be different than the polytheists. Everybody makes mistakes in their lives but only Allah can forgive them. Allah is the one who knows us better than anybody else, since he created us from the beginning. If we seek refuge in him and put our trust, then we will be successful. Right now I’m almost fully there to be called fully religious. God willing, Allah will lead me and the other brothers and sisters into the light.

If somebody tells me you have to pray in the mosque, you dont just believe them. You either find out what the Quran says about that or the sayings of the prophet. Then you can conclude what the answer is. Nowadays, people just follow the friend footsteps, father footsteps but not the prophet which is God’s messenger. Allah gave us a brain so we need to use this gift. We need to gain knowledge to know rather we are correct or not.

 If girls believe that the hijab(veil) is not required for them to wear it, then see what the Quran said and what did the prophet say to regards of it. Thats what Muslims should do because we should be close to our lord and to be close to him as much as possible.

Why do we pray?

“And I (Allah) created not the jinns and men except they should worship Me (Alone).” (51:56)

 

 

Islam: The Religion of Truth

God states in the Holy Quran:

“…The only religion in the sight of God is Islam…” (Quran 3:19)

In another verse of the Holy Quran, God states:

“If anyone desires a religion other than Islam, never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter, he will be in the ranks of those who have lost (their selves in the Hellfire).” (Quran 3:85)

In another saying, Muhammad, the Prophet of God, said:

“Whoever testifies that there in none worthy of being worshipped but God, Who has no partner, and that Muhammad is His slave and Prophet, and that Jesus is the Slave of God, His Prophet, and His word which He bestowed in Mary and a spirit created from Him; and that Paradise (Heaven) is true, and that the Hellfire is true, God will eventually admit him into Paradise, according to his deeds.” (Saheeh Al-Bukhari)

The Prophet of God, may God praise him, also reported:

“Indeed God has forbidden to reside eternally in Hell the person who says: “I testify that none has the right to worship except Allah (God),’ seeking thereby the Face of God.” (Saheeh Al-Bukhari)

To convert to Islam and become a Muslim a person needs to pronounce the below testimony with conviction and understanding its meaning:

I testify “La ilah illa Allah, Muhammad rasoolu Allah.”

The translation of which is:

“I testify that there is no true god (deity) but God (Allah), and that Muhammad is a Messenger (Prophet) of God.”

To truly adhere to the second part of the Shahada is to follow his example in all walks of life. God says:

“Say (O Muhammad to mankind): ‘If you (really) love God, then follow me.’” (Quran 3:31)

Best Times to make Dua (Supplication)

There are certain times dua (supplication) is more likely to be accepted by Allah (SWT) as mentioned by Prophet (SAW). These times are as follows:

1. The Last Third Of The Night
Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said: ‘In the last third of every night our Rabb (Cherisher and Sustainer) (Allah (SWT)) descends to the lowermost heaven and says; “Who is calling Me, so that I may answer him? Who is asking Me so that may I grant him? Who is seeking forgiveness from Me so that I may forgive him?.”‘ [Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith Qudsi] Amr ibn Absah narrated that the Prophet said: ‘The closest any worshipper can be to His Lord is during the last part of the night, so if you can be amongst those who remember Allah at that time, then do so.’[at-Tirmidhi, an-Nasa'i, al-Hakim - Sahih]

2. Late at night
When people are sleeping and busy with worldly pleasures Allah (SWT) gives the believers an opportunity, or an answer hour if they can fight sleep and invoke Allah (SWT) for whatever they need. The Prophet (SAW) said: ‘There is at night an hour, no Muslim happens to be asking Allah any matter of this world or the Hereafter, except that he will be given it, and this (occurs) every night.’
[Muslim #757]

3. Between Adhan and Iqamah
Anas (RA) narrated that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said: ‘A supplication made between the Adhan and Iqama is not rejected.’
[Ahmad, abu Dawud #521, at-Tirmidhi #212, Sahih al-Jami #3408, an-Nasai and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (sound)]

4. An Hour On Friday
Narrated Abu Hurairah (RA): Allah’s Messenger (SAW) talked about Friday and said: ‘There is an hour on Friday and if a Muslim gets it while offering Salat (prayer) and asks something from Allah (SWT), then Allah (SWT) will definitely meet his demand.’ And he (the Prophet (SAW) pointed out the shortness of that particular time with his hands.[Sahih al-Bukhari]

Some have said that this hour is from the time the Imam (prayer’s leader) enters the mosque on Friday’s prayer until the prayer is over (ie between the two khutbahs), whereas others have said that it is the last hour of the day (ie after the Asr prayer until the Maghrib prayer).

5. While Drinking Zamzam Water
Jaber (RA) narrated that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said: ‘Zamzam water is for what it is drunk for.’ [Ahmad 3: 357 and Ibn Majah #3062]. This means that when you drink Zamzam water you may ask Allah (SWT) for anything you like to gain or benefit from this water such as healing from illness…. etc.

6. While Prostrating
Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that Allah’s Messenger (SAW), said: ‘The nearest a slave can be to his Lord is when he is prostrating, so invoke (supplicate) Allah (SWT) much in it. [Muslim, abu Dawud, an-Nasa'i and others, Sahih al-Jami #1175]

When a Muslim is in his Salat (prayer) he is facing Allah (SWT) and when he prostrates he is the nearest he can be to Allah (SWT) so it is best to invoke Allah (SWT) at this time. It is said that while in prostration, one should not ask for worldy needs (ie a nice car, a new job, etc), but for the Hereafter.

7. When Waking Up at Night
Narrated Ubada Bin As-Samit that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said: ‘Whomever wakes up at night and says La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la shrika lahu lahulmulku, wa lahul hamdu, wa huwa ala kulli shai’in qadir. Alhamdu lillahi, wa subhanallahi wa la ilaha illallahu, wallah akbir, wa la hawla wala quwata illa billah (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah (SWT) He is the only one who has no partners. His is the kingdom and all the praises are for Allah (SWT) All the glories are for Allah (SWT) And none has the right to be worshipped but Allah (SWT) and Allah (SWT) is the most Great and there is neither might nor power except with Allah (SWT) and then says, Allahumma ighfir li (O Allah! Forgive me) or invokes Allah (SWT), he will be responded to and if he makes ablution and performs Salat (prayer), his Salat (prayer) will be accepted. [Sahih al-Bukhari]

8. At The End Of The Obligatory Salat:
Narrated Abu Omamah (RA): that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) was asked, O Messenger of Allah, which supplication is heard (by Allah (SWT), he said the end of the night and at the end of the obligatory Salat (prayer) [at-Tirmidhi]. This time is after saying ‘At-tahyat’ , and before making Tasleem (finishing prayer)

9. The Night Of ‘Qadr’ (Decree)
This night is the greatest night of the year. This is the night which the almighty Allah (SWT) said about it, “The night of Al-Qadar (Decree) is better than a thousand months.” [Surah al-Qadr, 97: 3]

Love, oh Love

al-Salāmu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullāh,

The word ‘love’ appeared as a noun in the Qur’an ten times – of those ten, nine were using the word hubb حبّ, as in the verse,

وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يَتَّخِذُ مِن دُونِ اللّهِ أَندَاداً يُحِبُّونَهُمْ كَحُبِّ اللّهِ

And of mankind are some who take (for worship) others besides Allah as rivals (to Allah). They love them as they love Allah.

and once was using the word mahabbah, محبّة in the verse concerning Prophet Musa (peace be upon him),

أَنِ اقْذِفِيهِ فِي التَّابُوتِ فَاقْذِفِيهِ فِي الْيَمِّ فَلْيُلْقِهِ الْيَمُّ بِالسَّاحِلِ يَأْخُذْهُ عَدُوٌّ لِّي وَعَدُوٌّ لَّهُ وَأَلْقَيْتُ عَلَيْكَ مَحَبَّةً مِّنِّي وَلِتُصْنَعَ عَلَى عَيْنِي

Saying: ‘Put him (the child) into the Tabut (a box or a case or a chest) and put it into the river (Nile), then the river shall cast it up on the bank, and there, an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his shall take him.’ And I endued you with love from Me, in order that you may be brought up under My Eye,

The word hubb is the original verbal noun of the verb habba حبَّ, while the word mahabbah is what is known as the ‘masdar meemi‘ (verbal noun begining with a letter meem‘) of the same verb. As it is the original verb, it is the origin, the asl, and thus it appeared 9 times. But mahabbah only appeared once. The reason for this lies in the difference between these two words, which can be summed up in the following three points:

1. In the nine times in which the word hubb appeared, it was mentioned with regards the actions of man towards Allaah, or with regards instances related to life. When Allaah the Exalted used the word in reference to Himself towards one of His Creation – Musa (peace be upon him) – He used a different word (mahabbah), that was only ever used to describe His own actions, as is most befitting of His majesty.

   Thus, when the love stems from mankind, the word hubb was used, but when it stems from Allaah, the word mahabbah was used.

2. The love that was bestowed upon Musa from Allaah settled in the soul of Musa and began to emanate from him just as light emanates from the sun, and its beautiful fragrance would attract the people to him and make them love him. Thus, Aasiyah, the wife of Fir’awn (among many others), immediately fell in love with him and requested from her husband that he not kill the baby Musa (see al-Qasas, verse 9).

   But when humans show love to one another, it does not penetrate the beloved such that others then begin to love them also. This only occurs when Allaah loves His servant. Thus, it was only right to use different words to express these different types of love.

3. The word hubb is much more widely used than the word mahabbah. Thus, the more common word was used with a subject that is great in number (i.e. mankind), while the rare word was used with a Subject that is not (i.e. Allaah).
