Larry Johnson (of the KC Chiefs) was never in the NBA. He went straight from an amazing college career as a running back at Penn State to the Kansas City Chiefs. The Larry Johnson that played for the Charlotte Hornets and the New York Knicks is an entirely different person – he would’ve been playing professional basketball when Kansas City’s LJ was still in junior high school.

First of all thank you for your comment, I appericiate your time.
My blog is not for people to convert to Islam or to believe if its the truth. Each one of us has a brain and can use it to learn and educate him/herself. True?!
Each one of us can go and find the truth he wants too. If it was Chrisianity, Islam, Hinduisim.. etc Whatever his brain tells him/her is the “Truth”. My blog is for others to know the “real” Islam. The religion that is not shown to the world, rather shown as a religion of hate, oppression and terrorism because of Media, or political groups or whatever.
Islam teaches that religion is the most important aspect of human life. It must be adopted consciously after careful thought, critique and rationalization. it must make sense and appeal to our intellect. even those who are born Muslims “Must” re-evaluate, challenge and accept or reject their faith rationally. They must make a personal choice and consciously adopt Islam.
If you had the time to read about other religions, such as “Islam”, you would’nt have said that islam is a religion of killers and such words. If you gave yourself space for gaining more knowledge you will know that even in wars is prohibited in Islam to kill women, children, to cut flowers or trees or to torture anyone. If you are talking about killing, ill give you a verse from the Quran about killing and you judge.
” If anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or (and) to spread mischief in the land – it would be as if he killed all mankind, and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind” (Quran, Al-ma’ada: 32)
A religion that orders people not to kill (if he killed one person as if he killed the whole mankind), not to torture, not to kill women and children or to cut plants.. can be judged as a religion of killing and hate??
You were born as a Chrisitian, you follow your family, friends or enviroment. You believe that your religion is also the “truth”. But you never gave time to yourself to read about others but to follow what you were born into! Each person follows his parents or any other groups he would think are the right people! True?
Even in Islam, Jesus is one of our prophets, exactly like Moses, Mohammed, Noah,etc
All of them are Prophets in Islam. They are the messengers of God. He choose them for us to follow them to the right path. Jesus is not God or the son of God, but a human that “GOD” created and gave him mircales. Even Noah had mircales how come he’s not God or the son of God? Even Moses had miracles how come he’s not God or his son? If you kept questioning yourself you will know that maybe there is another truth, maybe you were only believing who you were born into.

Peace be upon you, brothers and sisters…As what have Dave Chappelle quoted: “Islam is a beautiful religion if you learn it in the right way. It is a lifelong effort…” I was baptized and raised as a Catholic, and it is during my teenage life that I have started questioning my faith. I felt so empty. But life for me went on, even with a missing link…raised a family of my own and raised them as a Catholic too. I have a good job and position, which after two years; I quit for believing on my conviction and integrity. My family suffered a lot financially but it made me stronger. Then, an opportunity came for me to work as a private nurse in Jeddah, for the second time, which I accepted. It’s been almost a year since I came here and I’m so blessed that the family of my patient were all wonderful. It gained me respect for their religion, culture and traditions. I started reading books about Islam, searching in the net, for which it helped correct all the misconceptions I had with Islam and it enlightened me. Alhamdu Lillah! I have embraced Islam as my way of life. That fills up the missing link in my life. My advice to everyone is to try to be an open-minded person, try to learn each other’s faith. It will not do harm unto you but instead, it will gain you more knowledge. And maybe that knowledge will lead you to the right path. And besides, all of us for sure believe that there is only one God, our Creator; and that’s what Islam is teaching. “All praise is for Allah, Who saved me from what he has afflicted you with and favored me more than many others He created.”

first of all you don’t have to be rude to talk about your point
we didn’t talk badly about you or your religion.
Secondly, No.. Islam is not about being “famous” just to make it right to you!! We don’t have to add commercials on tv because we’re happy with our religion. We dont need Media to make us proud of ourselves…It actually ruin our reputation with the fake truth about Islam that they show.
I’m proud that there are people who converted to Islam who are “NOT” famous! but I added this post just to let others know about it. It was an idea but not to compete with “Christianity” << with a capital C please! That’s if you respect your religion!
Even if Dave Chapple is a sinner, Allah is most Merciful, most forgiving! Anyone can make mistakes and its up to us to change. It doesn’t mean if we committed sins, we do not ask for forgiveness and repentance. Right?
But there are Muslims by name too, who don’t practice Islam. There is the good and bad people in every religion! Yet, that doesn’t mean, we judge Islam by other peoples bad actions! (or any other religion!)

If you read the Quran, you will know the truth or atleast respect this religion by Allah’s name. As its mentioned in Qura’an we should respect people of the book, such as Christians and Jews.
We love Jesus too, because he’s a prophet in Islam and may Allah give us the chance to meet him someday in paradise Ameen.

Before writing any rude words you should remember that you are talking about billions of Muslims around the world, don’t generalize!
If you believe that Islam teaches people to kill, then you have to read about it before judging any religion because of other peoples bad actions.
What about Jews that kill Palestinian women and children too? everyday!! What can you say about them?

As far as i know Islam is a peaceful religion with peace and happiness,i am not saying that the other religions don’t have peace as well as we Muslim do,one thing i have come to realize that many people don’t think before theY say words,and mean while they fail to understand that there is many people who is seeing to what they saying.but i thank Allah for everything that he brought to my life.i accept Islam religion to my believe to what i see and read,reading is very important,if you don’t read you cannot know anything.i hope someday many will come to know that Islam is not a bad religion,some say is terrorist religion people talk as they like,but all i am saying i pray Allah to forgive them and put them into the right way to their life.i believe they don’t know what they are doing.

Sorry for taking so long to reply back to your comment but I need time to read, think and put my words correctly. I respect every word you wrote and I respect Jesus because in Islam he is our prophet! But you need to calm down and let’s understand one another with respect and love.
Christians and Muslims both believe in Jesus, we love him and honour him. They are however, divided over the question of his divinity. Fortunately, this difference can be resolved if we refer the question to both the Bible and the Qur’an, because, both of those books teach that Jesus is “Not” God.
If you can, give me any verse from any Bible that says Jesus is God? According to the Quran which is ‘one’ book, states that Jesus is ‘Not’ God.
These are some verses from the Quran:
“And verily We gave unto Moses the Scripture and We caused a train of messengers to follow after him, and We gave unto Jesus, son of Mary, clear proofs (of Allah’s sovereignty), and We supported him with the Holy spirit. Is it ever so, that, when there cometh unto you a messenger (from Allah) with that which ye yourselves desire not, ye grow arrogant, and some ye disbelieve and some ye slay?” (Al-Baqara: 87)
“Of those messengers, some of whom We have caused to excel others, and of whom there are some unto whom Allah spake, while some of them He exalted (above others) in degree; and We gave Jesus, son of Mary, clear proofs (of Allah’s Sovereignty) and We supported him with the holy Spirit. And if Allah had so wiled it, those who followed after them would not have fought one with another after the clear proofs had come unto them. But they differed, some of them believing and some disbelieving. And if Allah had so willed it, they would not have fought one with another; but Allah doeth what He will.” (Al-Baqara: 253)
These are two clear verses that shows how people are blind to see the truth.
Another long verse from the Quran:
“(And remember) when the angels said: O Mary! Lo! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a word from him, whose name is the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, illustrious in the world and the Hereafter, and one of those brought near (unto Allah). (45) He will speak unto mankind in his cradle and in his manhood, and he is of the righteous. (46) She said: My Lord! How can I have a child when no mortal hath touched me? He said: So (it will be). Allah createth what He will. If He decreeth a thing, He saith unto it only: Be! and it is. (47) And He will teach him the Scripture and wisdom, and the Torah and the Gospel, (48) And will make him a messenger unto the Children of Israel, (saying): Lo! I come unto you with a sign from your Lord. Lo! I fashion for you out of clay the likeness of a bird, and I breathe into it and it is a bird, by Allah’s leave. I heal him who was born blind, and the leper, and I raise the dead, by Allah’s leave. And I announce unto you what ye eat and what ye store up in your houses. Lo! herein verily is a portent for you, if ye are to be believers. (49) And (I come) confirming that which was before me of the Torah, and to make lawful some of that which was forbidden unto you. I come unto you with a sign from your Lord, so keep your duty to Allah and obey me. (50) Lo! Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path. (51) But when Jesus became conscious of their disbelief, he cried: Who will be my helpers in the cause of Allah? The disciples said: We will be Allah’s helpers. We believe in Allah, and bear thou witness that we have surrendered (unto Him). (52) Our Lord! We believe in that which Thou hast revealed and we follow him whom Thou hast sent. Enrol us among those who witness (to the truth). (53) And they (the disbelievers) schemed, and Allah schemed (against them): and Allah is the best of schemers. (54) (And remember) when Allah said: O Jesus! Lo! I am gathering thee and causing thee to ascend unto Me, and am cleansing thee of those who disbelieve and am setting those who follow thee above those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection. Then unto Me ye will (all) return, and I shall judge between you as to that wherein ye used to differ. (55) As for those who disbelieve I shall chastise them with a heavy chastisement in the world and the Hereafter; and they will have no helpers. (56) And as for those who believe and do good works, He will pay them their wages in full. Allah loveth not wrong-doers. (57) This (which) We recite unto thee is a revelation and a wise reminder. (58) Lo! the likeness of Jesus with Allah is as the likeness of Adam. He created him of dust, then He said unto him: Be! and he is. (59) (This is) the truth from thy Lord (O Muhammad), so be not thou of those who waver.” (Al-Imran)
“Say: O People of the Scripture! Come to an agreement between us and you: that we shall worship none but Allah, and that we shall ascribe no partner unto Him, and that none of us shall take others for lords beside Allah. And if they turn away, then say: Bear witness that we are they who have surrendered (unto Him). (64) O People of the Scripture! Why will ye argue about Abraham, when the Torah and the Gospel were not revealed till after him? Have ye then no sense? (65) Lo! ye are those who argue about that whereof ye have some knowledge: Why then argue ye concerning that whereof ye have no knowledge? Allah knoweth. Ye know not.” (Al-Imran: 64-66)
I can get more and more verses if that is not enough to understand that Jesus is a human created by God’s will.
“And they say: Allah has taken unto Himself a son. Be He glorified! Nay, but whatsoever is in the heaven and the earth are His. All are subservient unto Him. The originator of the heavens and the earth! When He decrees things. He says unto it only: Be! And it is” ( Al-Baqara: 116-117)
God is not like humans to need children. The Quran seeks to correct a common misconception in the minds of people. Many assume that since Jesus had no father then God must be his father!
Glory be to Allah. He created everyone, me, you, everyone from a man and a woman. But He created Adam from neither a man nor a woman. And He created Eve from a man, but not from woman. God has demonstrated His power to create in every way.

you might see that you are following the right religion, why? because you follow your family, you’re born Christian. why don’t you think Judiasim is
the right religion?? is it because you were not born Jew? Did you read the Quran?? the Torah?? to see where is the truth. why is Christianity?
In Islam, we LOVE JESUS, he’s one of our prophets and our prophets have miracles, why didnt I convert to Christianity even when I know that

first of all, im a young Arab girl that graduated from an American university, majored in (advertising & Pr – graphic design). Im an Artist, a story teller and a designer. I didnt make this blog to convert anyone or to prove to anyone anything. I made it for the world to know the ” real Islam “, the Islam that they dont see on media. Yes I wear a head scarf, but Im not oppressed, my father does not hold a gun to kill me if i leave the house
, my older sister dont wear a head scarf, I didnt get forced to wear it, I have a voice and I do everything .. the good way.. and far away from the wrong path. Im not perfect and im not filled with knowledge.. but Im trying to be .. by reading alot and knowing even about other religions..
however..
I’ll start by saying.. Islam is about ” Love & Peace ”
simple words that can open up anyones heart, words of love can always reach peoples feelings..
Secondly so i could start, we should erase what media and all the strange things we hear, like terrorism, hate and opperession. I totally agree that there are Muslims that kill in the name of Islam when Islam is not about this ” AT ALL “, we dont consider those people as Muslims. I agree that there are Muslims that are Muslims by name only and shows the world the ” wrong ” Islam. There is also alot of sects in Islam, groups that dont follow Islam correctly and so we see all these strange things..
Im not sure If you’re Muslim or not, but I respect who you are
Islam.. is an Arabic word which means ” peaceful ” willing submission, and when we say HELLO .. we say ( Al Salam Alaykom ).. “peace be upon you”.
So Islam is a religion but also a complete way of life based upon a voluntary relationship between an individual and his creator.
Monotheism is the foundation of Islam. what that means in Islam is, God is (ONE) he does not have a partner or son. We believe in One God.. and his Prophets and messengers such as ( Jesus, Noah, Mohammed, Moses, etc).. these are Prophets in Islam, people that God chose for them to send their message to mankind for people to find the right path. And Mohammed was the last messenger that God chose!
A Muslim is a person who believes in one God, and commits himself to the worship of God alone! and no one but God.
There are 5 pillars in Islam, the declaration of faith, the performance of regular prayers (5 times a day), obligatory annual expenditure (charity), fasting and Hajj (pilgrimage). if you want to know more about each pillar just ask
Islam is not an ” Arab ” religion like how everyone thinks. this mistaken assumption is possibly based on the fact that Prophet Mohammed was an Arab, and that most of the first generation of Muslims were Arabs and that the Holy Quran is in the Arabic language. as a matter of fact only about 18 % of Muslims are found in the Arab world. The most Muslim population is found in Indonesia and other parts of Asia. the other part is Africa and a minority in Europe.
Islam is the only religion whose sources are authentically preserved, historically recognized and have remained entirely free of human alteration and interference over the centuries. The Quran contains no myth or fables and is in accord with established facts of science. ( this is a long story if i want to talk about it
)
ok do Muslims worship God or Allah? this is one of my posts.. if you want to read it
but in conclusion.. ( Allah is the name of God in Arabic ) people think we worship another God than Christians or Jews,etc. We all have one God, the Creator.
Islam does ” Not ” teach hate or terrorism. Some people say that the verses in the Quran says so.. but Im really sad that people didnt read those verses.
Jihad, does not mean killing innocent people with no reason. its mistranslated as ( holy war)!!! holy war actually is something undertaken to forcibly subject others to certain religous doctrines and this is forbidden in Islam. Jihad is an Arabic word which means ( struggle or striving) and applies to any great effort on the personal as well as the social level. It is striving to do good and remove injustice and evil from oneself and from society. for example, saying words of truth. its a broad Islamic concept that includes opposing evil inclinations within the self. It also means the protection of your land, so when another country invades yours.. what will you do? you should protect your land and go to battle to help your country. its a huge topic which is not even close to terrorism like how “some” Muslim are using it.. maybe for political issues…!!!
These are some simple stuff I said about Islam, and I said it in very simple words I guess
I know its not enough, there’s a lot in Islam that people should know but I said the main things for people to understand what Islam is all about and that its far away from hate!

Im an Arab too and proud to be one.. its not about the nationality or race .. its how we can actually practice our religion in the correct way. People should not be Muslims by name only, they shouldnt let others who are non-Muslims feel that we are hateful and terrorists.
